The EU Tribunal cancels the calls in only three languages
Italy obtains, in case T-142/08 with the sentence of 12 September 2013 of the Fifth Section of the Court of the European Union, an important victory in the hard-fought question of languages in the competitions of the Union itself.
The canceled tenders included:
“A satisfactory knowledge of German, English or French ('second language');
"The admission tests would be held in German, English or French";
"Two of the three written tests (...) would be held in German, English or French, as well as the oral test and the interview".
Italy appealed to the principles of multilingualism and non-discrimination of Article 22 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.
