The Constitutional Court says yes to the conflict of powers with the Milanese judges on the Abu Omar case
The Council declares admissible the conflict of attribution between state powers raised by Palazzo Chigi against the sentence issued by the Milan Court of Appeal in the Abu Omar case. According to the Court, state secrecy serves to safeguard national security and its protection is entrusted to the Council of Ministers under the control of Parliament. The imam was kidnapped in Milan by the CIA with the help of the Italian secret services in an extraordinary rendition operation. (attached the order 244/13 of the Constitutional Court).
