With sentence no.4991 of 8.7.2008, the Court of Turin accepted the requests proposed by the Ministry of the Environment against Syndial Spa (formerly Enichem), condemning it to pay the sum of approximately 1.9 billion by way of environmental damage , in relation to the diffusion in the environment, and in particular in Lake Maggiore and in the tributary courses, of chemical substances including the DDT. The sentence, even if already enforceable, is still subject to appeal. The Turin and Venice Attorneys jointly handled the defense of the administration, obtaining a brilliant result.
