Renewed the memorandum of understanding between the State Attorney's Office and the Revenue Agency for the protection of tax interests
The defense in court of the interests of the Treasury is at the center of the memorandum of understanding renewed today, in Rome, between the State Attorney's Office and the Revenue Agency. The agreement, signed by the Advocate General, Ignazio Francesco Caramazza and by the Director of Revenue, Attilio Befera, will remain in force for the four-year period 2010-2013 and strengthens the collaboration between the two bodies for the definition of the optimal defensive strategies to be adopted in disputes for which the Agency enjoys the patronage of the State Advocacy. The renewal of the agreement stems from the positive experience gained up to now in relations with the Bar, which has given excellent results both in terms of the procedural conduct shown in the judgments, and in terms of consultancy. From this point of view and in the traditional discipline of tax litigation, the defensive activities in the various levels of judgment are the recognition of the Advocacy in the work of protecting, in court, the property and non-property interests of the State.
