Functions
"The Secretary General of the State Advocacy assists the Advocate General in the exercise of his functions, takes care of the functioning of the offices and services, supervises administrative and confidential affairs and exercises the functions of Chief of Staff, in accordance with 'article 10 of the decree of the President of the Republic no. 748 of 30 June 1972, in relation to the personnel referred to in the law of 5 April 1964, no. 284. The office of general secretary is conferred on a state lawyer who has obtained at least the third salary class, by decree of the President of the Council of Ministers on the proposal of the State Advocate General, having heard the Council of State Attorneys and Attorneys "( Law 103/79, Article 17 ).
"The assignment, unless motivated provision of revocation, ceases at the end of five years from the assignment and can be renewed only once for another period of five years.
In the event of absence or impediment, the Secretary General is replaced by a provision of the State Advocate General for another lawyer appointed to temporarily exercise his functions "( Law 103/79, Article 17 ).
