Born in Naples on April 7, 1958, married, one daughter.

Graduated with full marks in law from the Federico II University of Naples in October 1980.

In 1982 he won the competition for State Attorney, the competition for Judicial Auditor and passed the exams for Legal Attorney.

Since July 2015, she has been designated as a member of the working group at the Ministry of the Interior for the drafting of anti-mafia measures.

On 29 December 2015, appointed Government Agent by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the dispute initiated by Panama against Italy M/N Norstar v. Italy before the ITLOS - International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea.

Since November 2015, member of the international legal team that followed the international litigation for the affair of the two marines (Enrica Lexie case) brought against India before the Courts of The Hague and Hamburg.

In March 2017, she was appointed member of the Commission for the public competition for 8 official positions at the Presidency of the Republic by decree of the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic.

From May 2017 to May 2018, member of the Study Commission established by the President of the CNR to assist him in identifying the most appropriate solutions to ensure the efficiency and transparency of the administrative procedures of the CNR.

Since June 2017, member of the advisory board of LUMSA University.

In November 2017, appointed by decree of the Minister of Health as President of the Commission for the formation of the national list of subjects eligible for the appointment of General Director of Local Health Authorities, Hospital Authorities and other bodies of the National Health Service.

With Presidential Decree dated 12 September 2019 she was awarded the honorary distinction of Knight Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.

Since January 2022, President of the CONI Sports Guarantee Board.

As a State Attorney he has exercised his professional, consultative and contentious activity in all branches of national law, in particular, constitutional law and administrative law, discipline of independent authorities, international and European Union law.

He has represented State Administrations and Public Bodies before all national jurisdictions (Council of State, Court of Cassation, Constitutional Court) and supranational jurisdictions (Court of Justice and General Court of the European Union, European Court of Human Rights, ITLOS). - International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, International Court of Justice); member of the International legal team in the international litigation for the affair of the two marines (Enrica Lexie case) before the Courts of The Hague and Hamburg in 2015.

He has collaborated in various Ministries both as Chief of Staff and as Head of Legislative Offices and as Legal Advisor.

He has been a member of numerous study and examination commissions at Public Administrations and Public Bodies.

He has participated as a speaker at national and European conferences, meetings and round tables.

In July 2021, the National Board of CONI awarded her the Silver Star for Sporting Merit for her position as Member of the Guarantee Commission of the CONI Sports Justice, Control and Sports Ethics Protection Bodies.

In July 2021, she was awarded among the 100 Excellences for the year 2020 in the “Women at the Top” section.

In September 2021, Forbes Magazine included her among the 100 successful Italian women in 2021.

On March 7, 2022, she was awarded among the Capitoline excellences during the first edition of the RomaRose Award “ Not just March 8 ”.

On June 10, 2022 she received the 34th edition of the “ Marisa Bellisario Mela d'Oro ” Award.

On 16 June 2022, the CONI National Board awarded her the Golden Star for Sporting Merit for her role as President of the CONI Sports Guarantee Board.

In July 2022 she was appointed Member of the Board of Directors of the Scuola Superiore S. Anna in Pisa.

In December 2022 she was appointed Ordinary Member of Aspen Institute Italia.

In December 2023 she was appointed Member of the new Advisory Board of LUMSA – Libera Università Maria Santissima Assunta, after having been part of the previous board since 2017.
